About the event
Great news! Dublin Yarnspinners is back! Founded back in 1996, Dublin Yarnspinners held monthly meetings showcasing the talents of storytellers from Ireland and further afield. After a brief hiatus, they will be holding their first meeting on Tuesday the 2nd of May (02/05/2023) in Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre on Capel Street, with future meetings to be held on the first Tuesday of every month. Join them for a celebration of the oral tradition of storytelling, where everyone is welcome to come along and share a tale of their own or just sit back and listen, whatever takes their fancy. Each month they hope to highlight a specific storyteller, allowing them to perform some of their favourite tales before opening up the floor to anyone who wishes to contribute. The focus is on the oral tradition, so we encourage performances to be recited rather than read, if possible.
Start time is 7pm until 8:30pm. Free admission
