Delegates travelling from overseas should make their way to Drogheda/Droichead Átha, a town near the conference venue.
Buses from Dublin Airport
After arriving in Dublin airport follow the BUS signs for the bus park area connected to Terminal 1 (All Aer Lingus flights arrive at nearbyTerminal 2).
Go to BUS RED ZONE 10 (Near Terminal 1).
The Bus Company is BUS EIREANN.
There is a choice of 2 buses going to Drogheda/Droichead Átha :
BUS 100X DIRECT (leaves every hour at 20 mins past the hour. Express)
BUS 101 (leaves for Drogheda every half-hour stopping at some towns in-between)
Check www.buseireann.ie for exact timetable. Journey time, 50 minutes approx.
Transport to the conference venue
The conference venue is approximately 15 minutes drive from Drogheda Bus Station. A limited number of volunteers will be on hand to drive delegates from Drogheda to the venue on Wednesday 21st June. Please contact email@example.com in advance if you would like to avail of this service, stating the time you will arrive in Drogheda and your mobile number.
There are also taxis available from the bus station which can bring delegates directly to the venue. Contact Maddens Taxis on +353 (0)41 983 2244. A taxi from Drogheda Bus Station to An Grianan will cost roughly €12.
Transport during the conference
The conference programme includes a day-trip to County Armagh in Northern Ireland. Buses will be provided free for delegates.
Transport after the conference
The conference concludes on Saturday 24th June and will be followed by storytelling events in County Armagh. Buses will be available to bring guests from An Grianán to County Armagh.
For those not attending the post-conference storytelling events, FEST volunteers will be happy to assist you in making arrangements to return to Drogheda for your onward journey.
