Repertoire

Folk tales, yarns, legends, and original stories. David is creative and flexible in his approach to presentations and strives for full audience participation. David’s stories draw upon Irish history, culture and folklore, with his vivid imagination and wry sense of humor added to the mix.

David has appeared at Irish and Celtic festivals, book stores, libraries, heritage centers, Irish pubs and other retailers throughout the United States. He’s performed many “one-man-shows” at many venues. He’s also performed at several sites in Ireland.

Background:

David practiced law in Detroit, Michigan for three decades before he retired. He now devotes his time to his writing and storytelling.

He is the author of two books and is hard at work on his third. ClanDonnell: A Storied History of Ireland won three international book awards and universally positive book reviews. It is a series of stories of an Irish clan which tell the history of Ireland in an entertaining, easy-to-read fashion. David’s latest book, Buy The Horse A Guinness (& Other Wee Tales of Ireland) is collection of eight short stories, each of which are in his repertoire of oral stories.
